Found this coin a dozen or so years ago. It is silver and weighs 27.4 grams. What bothers me is the glob of silver on the edge which is odd for a milled dollar. No expert but would appreciate oppinions.

That is a thought but that would not be the case from back in the day? So it still seems suspect to me as far as authenticity. Thanks for youre input.

Absolutely 100% counterfeit, sorry. There are a half a dozen different things wrong with this coin; the "blobs of solder" are on the list, but quite far down.
