GREAT! Now, try moving it closer to the coin, rotate, tilt, bend, whatever you need to do to get the background white and the natural color of the coin should come through.

PS - You're not filtering the light with something over the lamp are you? No need to diffuse the light, that can mess with the cartwheel spokes when they're present.

EDIT - I see in your OP everything is great!

when you get grades from AU55 to MS63 its the photos. there should not be that large a difference.
