Hello all,

Here is what I believe to be a die Crack. If someone would be able to confirm or deny, that would be awesome! I'm relatively new at all of this and am eager to learn from this community.

The die Crack that I believe to have spotted begins at or near below the "O" in Dollar and runs all the way through the first "L" in Dollar and looks to end at the end of Washingtonian ponytail.

***EDIT 8/21/22 @ 12:26am***

I noticed that the Rim of this coin, both Obverse and Reverse, is not uniform throughout the coin. On both Obverse and Reverse the Rim is noticeably Thinner at the Top of the coin than at the bottom. I have included images of both sides for reference.

Please let me know what all of y'all think about this and am I correct in this observation?

Thanks again!!

Please let me know what y'all think. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Evan

They are die cracks, minor ones. Need to see full coin pics front and back to comment on the alignment but seems to be a MAD=mis aligned die, minor.

The misalignment of the rim is with in tolerance. When the devices are over the edge, then they are considered a collectable MAD (Miss-Aligned-Die) coin. They will look like this:

Note the diagram on the above image on the left. This miss alignment of the die, so that that full strike is not possible. Thus the weakness on the opposite side of the coin. Look for the weakness to know it it is collectable or not.

CoopHome: What is a MAD coin and what needs to seen for it to be a collectable? The weakness on the reverse side of the coin
