Left is 1972 but is right coin the Same or is it 1973.

Look at number 2 on both coins

Had too look 5 times at this impairment coin but fact is it's a 1972.

Looking by its vision it looks like a 1973 coin.

Very deceiving.
Casual look: 1973
On very close examination with large pictures: 1972.

Perhaps there is some slight die damage above the tail end of the '2'.

Yes they are both 1972 when you take closer look but we will see what others say it's interesting and for sure deceiving by eye.

Just had a look under magnification it changes from 1972 too 1973.

I May Have Found The Reason Why A 1972 Australian 5 Cent Changes Too A 1973

It changes the 2 into a 3 when light reflects on tail of the number 2. Look at the photo then you'll understand I wanted to find the reason why it changed and I stumbled across this conclusion.both coins are 1972 but slight change with light then coin is 1973 only thing is why is it only changing on this particular coin still I'm left scratching my skull ive tried all of my 1972 only this one changes.
