Hi! I'm a novice coin collector. I was wondering if this might be a mint error on the reverse.

to the CCF

Picture is a little out of focus but it looks like PMD.

Please take the coin out of the 2x2 and try to get a close-up. I'm assuming the area in question is the bottom of the NE in "ONE"? It could be a lot of things based on this photo (a small Cud, a strike through, or just PMD). Need better photos to give an accurate response.

Sorry about the awful initial photos. Hopefully, these are better.

to the CCF If you're talking about the stain on CE, maybe a little chemical reaction. Not an error.

Looks like something mildly acidic got spilled on this coin. You can see the "tide line" of removed toning, running from the beginning of the N in ONE, over in a wavy line to beyond the T in CENT.

The red stain might be just the salt deposit left behind when whatever liquid it was, evaporated away. Or, it's entirely possible that the "red stain" was originally a green stain of corrosion, and the "tide line" is the mark left behind from whatever cleaning agent (like ammonia) was used to try to make the corrosion go away.
Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Lewis

Looks like something was on the "NE" on the second image, and now it is missing on the later images.

Coop, I think that was light reflection. You can see it on the 2X2 just below the NE.
