Found this LMC in the family water dispensing jug full of pocket change collected since the 1980s.

I saw a graphic in a thread somewhere here on how die scratches get worse as the stages progress, and to buy coins before the scratches get bad or something. So I thought it was interesting to find this 1980 LMC like that graphic. Is that what is going on here? It is on both sides. The obverse runs from SW to NE and the reverse runs SE to NW but I think stops at the top steps of the memorial.

PS: Sorry the devices are not clear when zooming in, still waiting on my new camera. But you can still see the excessive colorful lines going almost all the way across on both sides. They have quite a personality.

Here is another example but on the 1982 large date LMC (unsure of composition). But the lines run the opposite direction of the first example, going SE to NW on obverse and SW to NE on reverse.

CoopHome will help answer a lot of questions that you have not even thought of yet. Note it turns blue? Click on to these to find more information. We like to help train eyes as to what we are seeing and then figure out how they got there. (before/during/after strikes)

I know what you are saying about training your eyes too.

I am still waiting on my new camera because my phone camera has damage on the lens and only 13mp I think. I brainstormed about all my cameras on hand, even considering trying one of my security cameras, ha ha!

So the pics in this thread were taken with my old HD camcorder. They came out much better than the phone pics and I just cannot believe all the details that show up. Granted, some details were lost after resizing and uploading.

I had a USB microscope a couple years ago but it suddenly quit working and so I quit the project for a couple years. My new Pluggable version is arriving tonight or tomorrow.

I have about 100 pounds of pennies to look at. I have no other way to describe the amount. Just getting the jug to tip over required the strength of 10 men it seemed to me.

There are also suggestions on lighting and other image editing on that same CoopHome thread.
