Here is a quarter that I found in pocket change a year or 2 ago. It immediately stood out to me in the bright fluorescent lights of the grocery store. The pictures may not do it justice but when you look at the quarter in the right light you can see copper showing through around the rim, on Washington, 1982 and on In God we Trust. Looking at the edge it appears to me that there was an error in the cladding process. I am curious what your thoughts are on this coin. To my eyes it does not appear to have enough wear to be showing any copper.

Thanks, Greg

I agree with Frog here, hard to make out much on this coin, with one exception - it looks very worn on the high points on this quarter.

My cell phone camera skills could probably use a little work. Hopefully these are a little bit better.

Just rub on the coin scratching through to the copper layer. Note the only areas affected are on the highest points of the design.

Is there a reason it is clad so thin on the face? I don't claim to be a coin grading expert and possibly just never noticed before but I can't ever recall seeing a quarter with copper showing through on In God we Trust, the date and parts of Liberty on a coin with this amount of wear. If the coin was in AG condition I would understand but to me it seems very unevenly clad for copper to be showing in its current condition.
