It seems to me that the RCM, which originally had plans for two more themes for commemorative circulation coins (Alexander Graham Bell and the Summit Series), has scrapped plans for at least one of those coins - my guess is that it is the Summit Series (potentially due to the Russia-Ukraine conflict?

Why do you say that? Is it because there is only 3.5 months left in the year? I think the two other commems are still a go.

Quote: Why do you say that? Of course, I am not a mind reader. But I think it's the words which I put in bold in this statement ''Get the two Commemorative Collector Keepsake Cards issued in 2022 and ensure a complete set'' that make chief question if there is going to be a third set in 2022. Remember the RCM announced the Petersen Loonie and the Summit Series and Bell Toonies. So, there should be three sets.

Yes. I'm reasonably sure that I had read earlier that there would be three sets. Now it seems to be down to two, as red lock has mentioned. Also, the description says "Each Commemorative Collector Keepsake Card features two versions of its special-themed circulation coin. With this collection, you'll own four (4) different versions of the commemorative circulation coins issued in 2022" which would imply four different versions of the same coin. Since the Peterson Loonie has already been released, that gives us two versions of it, meaning we will still get two more versions of the Loonie, which would be commemorating Bell.

You may be right, or they may not be including one of the commem issues in a collector card. We will see.

I'm happy to admit that I was wrong. The RCM has posted the Summit Series coins today. Seems they are just not having the Summit Series coins as part of their Subscription display folders

The coloured version looks too cartoonish. I would have preferred if they had just done the non-coloured.

I reserve judgement about the coloured version until I have seen the actual coin.

Here's the fun part.... the coloured version has no relief whatsoever on the reverse core, so if the decal comes completely off in circulation, here's what it will look like (photoshopped simulation)... hahahaha!

Just curious, if the reverse looks like that, then where on the obverse would the date be?

@Beaver22 The date is below the Queen's portrait on the obverse. The fact that the colored version appears to have no detail/relief is disappointing and does tend to make it cartoonish. Still I have a roll on order. I hope they do also come out with the usual card for those that don't wamt to buy rolls.
