I thought I'd share photos of this toned 1849-A (Paris mint) French 5 Francs. It's a type coin, from a turbulent period in French history, that I have been looking to add to my collection.
The coin has flashy, lustrous surfaces, when held in the light, and attractive blue, gold and purple toning. The untoned figures on the obverse stand out nicely against the toning around the rims.
