I've not seen any mention of this on the forum, so apologies if this is a repeat.
I've been watching this item closing Sunday on GreatCollections - a 1906
Indian Head cent struck on a Mexican 5 peso gold planchet. The grade is VF25, and the description mentions it likely spent time being carried as a pocket piece as it would have been quickly noticed in circulation.
What I find fascinating is that the consignor of this coin found it going through bulk coins at a coin show. Talk about a cherrypick!
