Pictures have too much glare to accurately assess this coin. I see spots of original luster. Slight rub on the obverse hair above forehead, cotton, above the ear, cap and the nose. On the reverse I see some slight rub on the wing tips and the breast, and a touch on the eagles head. I think this coin is mid to high AU. Still a respectable grade for a tough coin.

Looks AU58 to me, don't think it would make MS. A lot of thumb wear.

the 01(P) are typically soft to weak strikes so this is normal for the year. although the cheek is clean. the luster looks quite subdued using these photos. could be lighting/glare. I have the coin at lease AU53 and a good shot at AU55

even if the coin slabbed at 50 it would be worth it so imo I would send it and I'm not proponent of slabbing
