1967 PL Dollar Big Strike Thru Error!

found this PL 67 dollar with obverse strike thru something, idk what. but sadly it also has tape residue on the reverse so imma let it soak in acetone for awhile. also does anyone have a estimate on the value? like its an ugly PL coin probably PL63 maybe CAM at most.

It needs to be proven that what we see here is not what appears to be an obvious PMD gouge, with some metal removed.
Accurate weight should confirm.

Genuine strike through, as for what I'm not certain but it does look like a frayed piece of wire with a partial sheath around the base, something similar to this.

Or like the end of a shoe lace, or string similar sorts, again not saying that is what your dollar was struck through, just giving general ideas as to what the object possibly looks like.

Weight OK, therefore strike through error.
Visually obvious in this case, and thus should never have left the Mint.
But it did.
