I have searched and searched but I can't find any information on my 2001 D Kentucky quarter on silver planchet. Can anyone offer insight or personal knowledge about this?

It's most likely plated. Tens of thousands of State Quarter sets we sold plated in silver, gold or platinum.

Pics might help, but almost certainly plated.

I'm having so much trouble with using this site. So if I weigh the coin and it's basically normal weight it's plated but if it's not then.it can be an error on silver planchet?

If it were on a silver planchet, it would weigh 6.25 g but the chances of that would be astronomical.
Can be 99.99% sure it is just one off the thousands of plated quarters out there.
