China Hainan Province Commemorative Medal Mintage & Value? (1988)

asian note collector8888 New Member Malaysia 36 Posts	Posted 02/22/2009 10:05 am Hello,everyone.This is a China-hainan province commemorative medal issued in 1988.Hainan island was officially establish as a province in 1988 and it is the newest province of China.My dad went to hainan island 20 years ago to visit his relative which was the gabenor of hainan province.However,he gave this medal to my dad as a gift and then my dad keeps this item till now.unfortunely,i really have no idea what is the mintage and value of this medal.I could not find it on ebay.com and other website by using yahoo search(I have been checking it on ebay and other websites every single day since 2000).Beside that,I have checked it in many coin catalogues internationally still not manage to find the picture,mintage and value of this medal.Is that a world medal catalogue existance?DOES anybody knows about that?I heard a guy from hongkong says that he has plenty of this medal and it is only worth $100 for a piece,i don't know if what he says is true or not.Anyway,I wish to know the mintage and value of this medal,is it a rare or common rare?please tell me IF you know anything about it,of course the medal catalogue too.Hope to hear from you soon,help is always apprieciated,thanks.B)] Report this Post to the Staff
