Found this dime among my pennies and the pictures don't really do it justice. Just now finding out how hard it actually is to capture the true color of a coin... But it really did blend in amongst all of my pennies so much that I thought I found a penny with a dime side . Anyway figured I would post about it to see what everybody thought.

Agree, environmental damage. May have spent some time in moist soil or a fountain.

P.s.- there are no "pennies" is US coinage (only UK and Australia). Here in the Stated they are called "cents". FYI.
