2014 D Dime Die Chip Progression?

Looks like two different dies to me. I collect those and recently got 2 rolls from the bank fresh from the mint. I found 18 die chips on that same torch cap and 14 on the lower band. To be sure of a die progression or the same die, you need additional die markers to prove it came from the same die. Die markers are just additional chips. Sometime these will appear on multiple coins and not on others because the chips occurred later in the process. Matching obverse markers with reverse markers also can happen.

Thanks for the info. That makes sense. I kinda figured it was two different dies. The chips were kind of off.
