The reject slot at my local grocery store is very productive. Last week it yielded two 1994 bi-metallic ten dollar Hong Kong pieces. Both are circulation examples not the gold and silver types. Of course 10 HKD = $1.28 USD so it's simply a nice find. I can't take a decent pic of my two coins. The attached image is a 1993 coin from http://www.info.gov.hk

Plus, the HK Gov stopped producing these because everyone thought $10 was too much for a coin. Also, it was heavy and people didn't want another coin.

Interesting story, I was in HKIA at night (like at 2) because my flight was late. I bought a coke or whatever and the clerk gave me back a heave $10 coin. So, I went to the bathroom, and after I got up, the $10 coin rolled out of my pocket and into the toilet. I looked at it for a good 30sec, and then I flushed it. dang... that $10 could have bought me something to eat...

Of course, eating would have been the last thing on your mind after reaching in there to fish it out!
