Hi, I wanted to get your thoughts on this coin. It appears that this was struck with some foreign object that got imprinted on Jefferson's nose. Thoughts on what that could be and how something like that could happen?

I'm thinking is a post-strike circulation hit. Others will be along to weigh in.

I know it's impossible to tell from these picture because it so small but it really looks like it's part of the coin under magnification. So would does that make you still think it is post minting?

No thinking about it, that mark on the nose did not happen at the mint. 99.99% of the time when you have a gouge and built-up metal, it's PMD

You can see where the metal has been pushed aside.
It is only an error if it happened during the striking of the coin.
This could not have happened at that time so it is damage,
no matter how it occurred.
