i have not been able to locate the note. this coin was purchased by my father and I inherited it from him. dads organizational methods were somewhat chaotic. it may be around but I havent been able to locate it. ive found the various provenance things in several different locations so its not out of the question that it survives.

Don't know how I missed this thread. Great provenance on the coin Jim what a show stopper with the paperwork to back it up! Would make for a really nice show exhibit. Might even win you a nice award at an ANA show. I'd seriously consider building one on this, if I were you. Fantastic.

thanks! thats a good idea. I probably will work up a display for it at some point. I enjoy making displays and I like learning about coins and the people associated with them. I think this one would be a bit of a challenge. it would be really easy to let it get too wordy.
