Thinking about purchasing this quarter but I want to make sure I'm not overpaying for the coin. I have the grade as VG-8, but I need help from others to confirm if it grades lower or not. The seller is asking for $45.

i'd say VG10. however it might detail due to the obv scratches

I agree. There's a very high chance it won't get straight grade.

Might straight-grade but overall not the best looking specimen.

if you try to clean this one up with lets say acetone the coin probably will look worse. i'd leave it alone if you were thinking of doing something.

imo the coin is not worth more than $15

Yeah VG10. Gentle q-tip in acetone on the headband only may remove the black.

I agree it's VG but the obverse marks on the head distract.

VG10- I don't like the obverse, very distracting with a chance of details grade.

It is over priced, I wouldn't purchase this coin.
