IMHO is MD. What look the date? In general the front of the head on DDO is not expand so much. The date will give the answer.

I am thinking MD as well. What DDO attribution number do you think it might be CaptJeffWorthFL? I think it is 2x2 worthy though as a reference piece.

I don't see any match on VV - that, and with the narrowing of the devices, I as well, think this to be a great example of MD.

I was thinking MD as well. It being a Wheat cent I had to ask, just incase the process may have been different. Thanks all for the help on this one.

I'm with MD as well.
The doubling on the inside curve of the G doesn't match any of the surrounding doubling. The two "merge" towards the bottom instead of staying consistent.

Machine Doubling looks the same on all coins. Flat, shelf like, 90 degree angle, affecting the outside/inside edges of devices. Even A doubled die can have Machine Doubling. That is caused by the machine. A doubled die is caused by the doubled, die. Thus the term "Doubled Die."

You can see Machine Doubling on a doubled die.
