Hi,
Im not to skilled in the field of Confederate Bills. Does this one appear to be authentic? What would be a collectors price for it?
Thanks

The best one-stop shop for spotting fake Confed notes is Crutch Williams. Look up the denomination and date, and see if there's a serial number match. Your note is dated Aug 28th 1862 and appears to be serial number "2".

There's no match on Crutch Williams. I see no reason to come to such a hasty conclusion that it's a fake. If it is real, such a low number would probably add to the collectability of this note.

This website is for confederate stuff:
http://www.csacurrency.com

If authentic, yours is a T203 type, 1862, depicting "negroes hoe cotton" and worth around $65 in VF condition.
