(not disputing your opinion because I know very well you are extremely learned on this subject... BUT)

The wear on the lines in the wheat stalks what are effecting the grades, I agree with VF-30 & VF-25.

I'll say EF40 on the first one and VF30 on the second. The nicks on Abe's cheek could bring #2 down a bit but it's VF25 at least.

haha.. thanks bherring. honestly.. my feelings weren't hurt or anything. I just am not sure I understand the intricacies of coin grading.

I never agreed with Chuck's grade, he is a variety expert, but him and I don't always meet eye-to-eye with him on grading. The tips of the wheat stalks on your coin show too much wear to meet EF standards. To make EF, each line must be 100% clearly defined, no rubs and no breaks.
