ya, those 76'ers I'm a little confused about. I think I have 49 of them, but they're all "D". didnt they print " no mint marks" too? are those the 75s, or the silvers? how do I tell the silvers?

The only 1976 coins that were silver(40%) are special S-minted coins that were only issued in special three piece bicentennial sets, proof and BU. The regular proof set coins were not silver and the chances of finding one of the silver halves in circulation would be about the same as finding a proof- not likely but it does happen from time to time.

looked at every one of them through a large, well lit magnifying glass. no "s" to be found.
