These came back as communicated a week ago. Some undergraded in my view as the guys at NGC seem to think that natural toning can not receive MS, yet overall, I am pleased. I may sell the German State as they are not my focus, even though they are unique in their toning.

I think the problem is the definition. The US grade above AU is MS, meaning Mint State. I guess they interpret that as in the State in which they left the Mint.

Since they didn't leave the mint with all that toning then they can't be mint state. Not saying I agree, just hypothesizing as to why they are not MS.

If they used the British grade above AU which is uncirculated then they would qualify, as they can be uncirculated and toned.

Personally I would call this tarnish not toning, but that's just me being picky.

Nice coins, Zohar444! One thing kind of bothers me about these slabbing jobs: the fact that the 1632 and the 1729 are not oriented correctly in the holders. Frankly this would drive me nuts.

Yeah like its so hard to rotate the coin correctly, they probably do it so you would re-slab the coin.

The coin is not absolutely round and therefore has some movement. The 1729 is alligned perhaps the angle picture is off.
