Aluminum, 19 mm. Unfortunately the objects on this one are too generic for me to try to use search terms in Google to track it down as I've been able to do others.
Anyone know what the two characters in the reverse mean? I've seen them on other Chinese coins, and I'm guessing that one of them means "fen". So far I recognize just a handful of numerics: one, two, three, five, and ten. Oh, look - pls is learning kanji! lol
This is a fen from the Japanese puppet state of Manchoukwo. It is in Krause as China/Japanese Puppet States/Manchoukwo Y#9. Year is K'ang-te 8 or 1941. The emperor of Manchoukwo was Pu-Yi, the last emperor of China.
You'll find it in Yeoman's "Modern World Coins" under Manchoukuo.
