Has anyone heard of any information regarding a reverse Variety for the Washington State Quarter depicting Mt. Rainier?

Tonight I was rolling some quarters when I noticed that the Washington State Quarter had an extra peak on Mt Rainier. Its quite obvious even without the use of a magnifier.

I did an Internet search about State Quarter varieties and all I came up with were Wisconsin and Minnesota.

Any information will help.

Tomorrow, I will post pictures of a normal reverse and another picture of the quarter I found.

Thanks

Christopher

No need - it's a die chip. The reason you're not finding it listed as an error or variety is because it's neither. These are small breaks in the design on the die, and are accepted as a normal part of the minting process.

Since I need to practice my photography, I'm still going to post the picture.

Notice the top, right side of Mt. Rainier sticks out.

Thanks for bearing with my amateurish photography.

I have to concur with coppercoins, just a die chip similar to the "extra" flowers on Oklahoma and "extra" cacti on Arizona.

Or maybe it is a sign of an eminent eruption

Spider5689:

Here are some pics of a Washington State Quarter that I have- it has the extra mountaintop- (Die Chip) plus an extended wave (die gouge/chip) on the bottom left of the coin.

Even though they are not worth much of anything extra premium wise, they look nice and I'm keeping mine.
