What factors should I concider when send a coin to be graded? For example;how much does the cost of the coin play apart, along with what the expected grade may be?

The most important consideration is value IMO. You have to decide if you think the grade and value will be worth the cost of submission in the end.

I agree with BadThad. Spending $20 to slab a $30 coin is a losing proposition (even though it happens surprisingly often). If it is a $2000 coin, it makes a lot of sense (though grading will then be more than $20).

Personally, I would only slab coins if I was planning to sell them. It does increase the size of the buyer pool.
