I figured that I probably would never be able to afford a 1893 S in XF, but I didn't count on finding this at a swap meet for $30 ! the guy at the table was basically just selling junk out of his garage (power tools, Pots & pans, old Railroad spikes, etc..) but he also had a box of common silver dimes, quarters, halves and several Morgan & Peace dollars. I originally offered him $20 for it, but my excitment must have shown as he hemmed and hawed and then asked $30. I did the best I could to sound like that was high but agreed to his price. although my conscience has given me some trouble I think he got more for it than he expected.

These pics are slightly grainy, the coin is not. appears to be original surfaces.

Opinions on its grade would be greatly appreciated.

I am going to guess F-15 maybe slightly better, if real.

This coin has a lot of detail under it's dull toning. I'm going to say it would grade at least EF-40.
Rest in Peace

Agreed with Ezchiento, hard to see the detail but at least XF-40 IMO, if not 45.

You still haven't - this coin's a P.

I grade it about $250.

Oh, that grade? Easy XF.
