I would suggest taking mintages out of the equation for bullion. The way to do that is stop putting dates and mintmarks on bullion coins along with removing a monetary face value off the coin...essentially making them rounds. Can you imagine the chaos if lets say the Sunshine Mint put dates on the silver buffalo rounds?

I like having the dates on the US Mint's bullion eagle and Liberty medal products. If they ever re,moved the date I would probably quit buying them.
