What would have caused this ? The picture doesn't show it well but the plug is copper in color.

I think it's a die chip--it's a fairly common location.
I once found a whole roll of 2007 with a similar chip.

That would be a die chip, relatively common

That 2006 DO has a clogged upper B in Liberty as one of its markers.

Thanks chuckster. I've checked 021 on the site but I don't see anything about a clogged B.

Click on the "MARKER PHOTOS"- where it say's MDS.(Middle Die Stage)
gives you all the die-markers etc- :)

It probably won't. This happens often to dies. Variety or normal dies. So we will have to wait to see what he finds.
