My father found it on a trip and when he returned to Canada, took it to a jeweler to make a pendant. Unfortunately, he died and I have no other leads to identify this piece. Amaziah New Member United States 1 Posts	Posted 10/20/2022 6:26 pm Yes, a 1/2 reale Spanish cob from the new world - minted between 1556 and 1598. Similar cobs were also minted by the Spanish at the Lima Peru mint during the same period. The link in the post above to coins from the Potosi Boliva mint gives the best background, but this is a link to the Lima Peru cobs.
