I need some help confirming if this is a dropped letter or not. It's the same size as the O. Its also incuse and dark like hardened grease. Thanks for any comments or info

Thanks oddguy. If it was anything acidic you wouldn't have contour on the interior and the exterior of the anomaly. I could be wrong

I could be wrong as well, I really do not know what it is but try to soak it in acetone over night, it will not hurt the coin at all.

Thanks oddguy. I haven't tried acetone before so I need to do some practicing first. The coin has some grit on it but you can see the dropped letter just fine. Third picture shows it's incuse on the coin. Acetone would probably make that area better to see but not needed to see the error
