Today I got this coin in an auction Seems legit to me, but asking just in case. And if you believe it is legit, what grade would you give it to it? Weight is 1,91 grams Regards!

A closeup pic of both sides of the coin would help us make a judgement as to authenticity.

It's a small coin, it's hard to make a decent pic under 300kb Let's see if this works

It looks like the 6 should have a bigger hook to it. This was from PCGS: Yours:

Yeah it does look off from first glance.
That 6 dismisses this coin from genuine.

Unfortunately, this coin is indeed a counterfeit. Weight would be educational, it may tell us what the core metal is.

Probably the gold is genuine but the coin is fake.

You are probablly right. I have tried searching fake ones, even in this forum, and I can't find a 6 like this one, neither on the real ones. Read here: https://www.PCGS.com/coinfacts/coin/1868-g-1/7567That: Most 1868 Gold Dollars show a shiny, diagonal streak connecting the right side of Liberty's bust with the rim to the left of the final A in AMERICA. This was a Mint-caused anomaly in the die and should not be confused with a post-strike defect. I must be desiring this to be legit, because I am seeing a shadow! :'D
