I have these two uncut Bonin / Thiessen $2 notes from 1986. The prefix for them is BRX but I am not sure if they're replacement or not as they don't fall in the range of numbers as listed on coinsandcanada...
Does anybody know if the BRX prefix would denote that they are indeed replacement notes?
TIA

According to Charlton, "All notes numbered 3460000 to 3519999" are replacement notes.

They are not really replacement notes, they were issued along with the toonies you posted by the RCM.
Unlike the regular issue BRX Bonin/Thiessen replacements (which command a healthy premium) they unfortunately are only worth face value.
"Caveat Emptor" when buying these notes on ebay.
Check your Charlton's first for the range of serial #s.
Many sellers try to pass the collector notes as circulation notes.
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning...
