it says that these 1919 h coins are rare but how rare are these coins these days
is there anywhere on the net that provides these details or any books that I could buy on rare coins and error coins?

All you need do is Google 1919H penny to find all the information you require. Grade is crucial when valuing coins, and while high grade and uncirculated 1919H pennies can be difficult to find and consequently priced into the hundreds of pounds, low grade, heavily circulated, examples such as yours are not rare and have little or no value to collectors.

i have done that all ready but could not find the answer I was looking for as in the answer of how many there are today not meaning the amount that was minted back then. as coins get lost or what ever happens to coins there must be less about today.

ah I just assumed in the coin collecting world that there may have been somewhere where people log rare and collectable coins. ha ha that's why I can not find anything about numbers.
so I suppose even tho coin is worn down and not very collectable, it could still be one of a hand full about.
