Hello.

Trying to understand the differences between specimen versus prooflike for the 1965 Canadian coins.when I look at each they look pretty similar to me, so I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction.thank you.

First off 1965 specimen coins are exceedingly rare.
Odds of finding an unattributed one are scant.
Because there are so few out there for you to use as reference I suggest you first study 1967 PL and SP coins which are abundant , both graded and raw. After you have examined a few hundred of these you will have a good handle of the difference an will be able to differentiate the two quite reliably.
