I've been identifying some of the world coins I've accumulated over the last fifty years and placing some in 2x2's.
So far, I've come across about 90 different countries' without too much trouble identifying them.
This coin I've tried to ID several times and must have spent five hours at least but have always come up blank.
To me it looks Arabic, Diameter is 18mm and weight is 1.8 gr.
I hate giving up but any help would be appreciated.

Cheers, Bill

@hound, have you tried the coinoscope app yet? It was the top hit for me on your second pic and it seems to be a 1 Rial from Iran. I don't have anything to do with the app, but find it super helpful for most modern coins.

Spence and kieth12, I thank you both.
Kieth12, I believe your correct on the date.
I've never really looked over the Numista site very closely but I will now.
Spence, I tried to install it when you mentioned it the first time in another thread but I had no success.
I want at it again after reading this thread and got it working great.
I tried it on this coin and nailed it, great app thanks for pointing it out.

Ok good @hound. Sorry about being a broken record about coinoscope, but glad you've got it to work this time.
