I cant seem to figure out if this is an N-2 or an N-31 , any help would be appreciated, (ie pictures from grellmans book)

Try N-31: the position of the denticles above the left stand of N in UNITED are different (the one above of the N-31 is dead-center...)

hey. I missed this one when it came up. the tell for N-31 is that there will be a die line on the interior of the O in One. it starts at 6:00 on the interior and runs vertically.

youve posted a couple of these that ive seen. if you are collecting by variety or are attempting to turn a profit cherrypicking varieties you will have much more success if you invest in the proper references and information.

buy the book. itll pay for itself.

Thank you Carrscoins! I did finally figure it out , it is an N-2. I found a small diagonal die line running down from the corner of the T in United in multiple examples I found on heritage. I am glad there is an online reference available!
