It is pretty normal. It maybe just not listed because of that issue. Best place to look for listing on these is on Coppercoins.com:

Then look for the search feature link:
2009-D-Formative-Years-Attribution-Not-Found
That will bring up the next box:

Click on the date/mint/variety for the desired search:

DDR and search for that area.
Many different dies listed on this site.
