Hi! So I always thought one day, I'd look into coins. So I save my change and sort it accordingly. I almost thought this one was a new penny because it's literally almost one of the shinier ones I've seen lately. Anyways... the ear looked a little different so I snapped a pic and I joined this group. Is it just me or is that a c? I was actually excited cause ive never seen an ear from the 60s. Probably as far back as 90s... cause of damage or wear. & I was like whoa thats an ear on a penny? But the C got me. Only other thing I've noticed is the side by liberty is thicker... but I'm so new I haven't yet even researched any of this... so I'm not sure if this is circulation damage or what. Thanks in advance.

Does the middle look different? Could this be a fake coin?

@kma, first welcome to CCF. Second, I'm seeing a lightly circulated cent, but nothing resembling a mint error. Maybe you can add a closeup picture of Abe's ear? Thx.

Your photos are too blurry for me, sorry. What is "AC"? Just a FYI: your coin is a large date in case you were unaware.

Don't stop posting, just practice taking coin photos. I know it is not easy to do, so practice, practice, practice. What is your set up for taking coin photos? Maybe members can give you some tips on taking better photos.

Okay, thanks John. I don't have a setup. I was planning coins for retirement hobby. So I guess I have no idea how to take photos, and should not post until I learn. I tried this one. A side by side. Mine being the 1st and lighter and a 1960 on coin appraisers. To maybe show kind of what I meant in my comment with the picture (back of monument). I probably have old eyes. But this one looks like squiggle legs or an alien. Just funny to me. Not gonna give too much more thought though. Thanks all!
