I'm pretty confident that this is a example of the 1971 D DDO-004 FS-101 but I would like to hear what the experts think. The T in Liberty is a given.

I don't think your half is the 71D FS-101. The FS-101 is the 71D DDO-004/DDR-002 in the CONECA Listings. Attached are a few photos for the 71D DDO-004/DDR-002 from my collection, note the I in IN doesn't match yours.

There you go John1...
And atrox001, Looking at the great example you have, I think you may be right. Does seem to be some doubling on the T and on that I though. I'll have to do some more research.

Thank you. Could use close ups like atrox001 posted. I do not see doubling on we trust on your coin elliottite.

Well does anyone have a idea on this. The T in LIBERTY? That T is what got this ball rolling. I realize now that it is not the FS-101 but that T has the same markings. Thanks everyone for your most appreciated input.

The doubling you see on the T in LIBERTY is Series Doubling...very common on the Obverse Die Variety 003.

I tried a match up of mintmark locations on FS-101, 102 and this coin. It is not a match for either. Close, but not a match. Then compared the hub doubling and this is also not a match on the two FS examples.

Just noticed on the PCGS site, the FS-101 shows the mintmark locations different on these two coins with the same FS-101 attribution?
