Back in the mid 1970s, I read an article in Numismatic News about a product called Coin Date (it may have also been CoinDate).

It was a sheet of rub-off numbers and letters you could use to update your Whitman albums. Instead of writing in the dates for the blank holes at the end of the album, you could rub off the pre-printed dates onto the album underneath the holes. The rub-offs were in the same style and font as the Whitman folders.

I recall that the person who came up with the idea was a woman named Jean Kroog.

Anyone else recall this? I'm not sure how successful it was, although I don't think it's still being made.

It sounds similar to a product called "Letraset" that graphic artists used to use before computers to
create lettering. The difference being that you would have to rub off one number or letter at a time.
I don't know if an art supply store would still carry it or not. Haven't seen it in years.
