He told me something about the beading behind the eagles' heads... No, I don't have a scale, but if I do, what is the weight I am supposed to look for? xshift Pillar of the Community United States 2669 Posts	Posted 02/28/2009 2:15 pm I think these were restruck until around 1980. The restrikes are marked by the X after the 1780. That being said, it's possible someone made their own restrike of the restrike out of something besides Silver. The letters look odd I am not aware of a variant the has the dots missing between the S&F. Also the wear looks like it has been faked.
