A 1991 British pound. A 1995 British five pence. A 1987 British one pence A 1962 & 1969 Netherlands 25¢. And two Russian coins. A 1961 15 kopek. A copper colored 2003 twenty something. It's about the size of a US cent with a 20. Beneath the 20 two upside down Js and two upside down Ns. The other side has a shield with an eagle and a lion. Gonna need a little help with the last one. I know they have a 20 denomination with a lion, but I dont recall the size or whether it has an eagle and in retrospect I think that coin might be the color of a US nickel. To be honest some of the coins came from a Spanish couple. A store employee was helping them cash out. I heard the coins hitting the reject slot and sidled up to them, told them I was a collecter and offered to buy the rejects. They politely refused any payment and offered to just give them to me. I gave the woman a fresh $2 bill and she lit up like a hundred watt bulb. I think I got the better of the exchange rate but the coins will never be spent. Report this Post to the Staff

Phoneguy Valued Member United States 60 Posts	Posted 02/27/2009 4:33 pm Cyrillic doesn't match the coins lettering. This image stinks but for now the best I can do. Beneath the twenty are two opposing upsidedown Js and two Us or maybe a W. The twenty and the lettering are surrounded by the scallops. It's a tad bigger than a US cent. This guy has found a niche and offers some amazing stuff. Some items are pure fiction but I found the small principalities pretty cool. Check out COINS OF NON-NATIONS, UNUSUAL COINS or DEAD NATIONS. Attached are guitar coins from The Somali Republic and a Standing Pope coin from Nauru. Are they circulating issues? I doubt it but I found them very interesting.
