If, by this process, you have identified some potentially valuable coins, you may wish to take those to a professional dealer. With (say) less than 5 coins, the fee would be much less, and you will almost certainly get an offer to buy them

Lets hope you become a serious coin collector instead, and keep them. They were your father's coins, now provide a base for you build on.
