on my 1997 D cent is the eye,nose and mabe the ear doubled and the reverse is that a die crack to the west and to the west are the piller's doubled or is every thing an M.D

Indeed Machine Doubling from worn dies

Also zinc rot which is so typical of these cents is occuring all over this cent of yours so just a spender.

On the reverse photo, looks like a linear plating bubble when the copper does not bond too well with the zinc core.

Varietyvista.com will help you determine what the genuine doubled die coins of the Zlincoln's are; the rest of doubling are automatically Machine Doubling unless you have the outside chance of discovering a new variety...
