1988 On Both The Obverse And Reverse. What's That Called Around The Rim Of The Coin?

mrwhatisit Pillar of the Community United States 2953 Posts	Posted 11/28/2022 10:37 pm That's called a Ridge Ring caused by worn dies and the copper plating not interacting properly with the zinc core, and is a common occurrence on post-1982 Zlincoln's. Plating issues abound with the great majority of these cents, so no, not a mint error here that I can see. Report this Post to the Staff
