Chad45133 New Member United States 2 Posts	Posted 12/01/2022 6:09 pm I appreciate the welcome and I'm a beginner. To answer the question if it's raised yes it is. It's not blackened it's brown like a Lincoln Penny from the 70s and 80s. It's got a lot of resemblance of a Lincoln Penny. No offense but I don't think it was burnt. The pic don't do it justice. merclover Bedrock of the Community United States 10635 Posts	Posted 12/02/2022 06:08 am From our viewpoint, the dark area looks to be dark carbon as from a flame/heat. If it's copper colour, the clad layer could be exposed from wear or damage. Either way, this is not a mint error, just post mint damage. The overall grey colouring hints at a cleaned coin or perhaps just environmentally stained. to the CCF! Report this Post to the Staff
