I found this quarter in my change search, first off I noticed it was wider then normal, but it looks like the reeding was buffed out. Weighs in at 5.5g
any info is greatly appreciated.

Likely a spooned or Dryer Coin. That would explain the over thickness and lack of reeding. Full pics of the obverse and reverse would help.

Full coin pics would be helpful,but I think it is an early state Dryer Coin.

In the future, please provide full photos of both sides of the coin along with a closeup.
As stated, it looks like an early stage Dryer Coin. Put this one on top of a regular
quarter and see if the diameter is smaller. If it is, then it is a Dryer Coin.
